Meal cost was HK$140 for two people, a reasonably price for four dim sum baskets. We ordered fried spring rolls with prawn, prawn dumpling, steamed bbq pork buns and rice rolls with bbq pork along with a pot of Jasmine tea. I eat here from time to time including a recent meal with a colleague of mine. You'll find it quite full throughout the day, a good sign when looking for a place to have dim sum. This is a large restaurant with plenty of seating. Opening hours are 7.30am to 9.30pm daily. shopping centre next to the Royal Ascot Residential complex. 'The place downstairs!' That is how good the standards are throughout the city and it is the case with the Honorary Family restaurant in Fo Tan, located in the small. When asked where to find good dim sim in Hong Kong, locals will tell you. However, if you are in the area for some reason, it is just fine to have yum cha here. You don't need to travel to this restaurant from other areas of the city. In the end, Honorary Family is a good option for dim sum in Fo Tan. If you still want more afterwards, just order another round of whatever you enjoyed the most or select other items you might be interested in trying. That is substantial amount that won't leave you hungry. When ordering dim sum, I usually recommend 2-2.5 baskets per person. More baskets will arrive as they become ready. A staff/server will take it and your baskets will begin coming out to your table in just a few minutes. Simply tick the dim sum or other items you want and hold up your card. Menu cards and pencils are on each table. However, there is almost always an English speaking manager or staff member who that can take your orders as well. Staff mostly speak only Cantonese so best to have a local with you to order.
